Zesh: Shooting for the Moon, Traveling With the Stars
It’s been an incredible journey since we first thought of developing a Telegram app to prepare for our token launch. Over the past few weeks, we’ve achieved such amazing traction that now, over 900,000 people are using To The Moon, and BitGet has listed us as one of their Editor’s Choice apps.
One of the main reasons we wanted to develop To The Moon is that we were frustrated with the lack of tools available to grow Web3 communities. While there are lots of quest campaign tools on offer, none of them were designed to weed out bots and prioritize genuine users.
Bots are a huge problem in Web3, and it’s an issue we are passionate about. The last thing we wanted was for our airdrop to be hijacked by bots to the detriment of our community.
Even big players in Web3 struggle to manage the problem of bots and airdrop farming. Take Hamster Kombat, for example.
While their game reached over 300 million users, in the final stages of preparing for their airdrop they realized they had a huge problem with fake users. They recently announced that just 131 million users will receive airdrop tokens as they try to weed out genuine users from bots.
At such a late stage, this caused uproar in their community, with many people feeling cheated. The problem was they tried to address the issue too late, and the solution will end up penalizing genuine users that they’ve incorrectly identified as bots.
Some users have labeled it the worst airdrop in the history of crypto, while others feel it doesn’t fairly reward their commitment to the project. We’ve always had this issue in mind, which is why we developed To The Moon ourselves so we could be sure the problem was addressed head-on from day 1.
While airdrops are vital for building genuine, engaged communities that are stakeholders in the future of a project, if they’re not implemented correctly, they can do more harm than good. As the adage goes, once bitten, twice shy.
Our approach of being able to identify bots with high certainty means that genuine users don’t have to worry about the goalposts changing at the last minute. As we’ve always said, building trust is the most important factor in developing loyal communities.
A key ingredient to building trust is transparency. This is why we’re building Zesh with zkML so that we can demonstrate how rewards are distributed without revealing sensitive data.
Of course, compelling gameplay and rewarding people who act as amabassadors and bring more users to the app are also crucially important. However, as Hamster Kombat shows, if you have great gameplay but fall at the final hurdle, it causes irreparable damage and makes people skeptical about future promises.
All of these factors have led To The Moon becoming such a successful app so quickly. This is why BitGet listed it as one of their Editor’s Choice apps alongside DOGS, Catizen, Hamster Kombat, and Blum!
ZESH To The Moon is a well-made “Play to Earn” game. The theme of “To The Moon” is very Web3. You can literally send a rocket (or token?) to the moon with your bare hands:) A large number of tasks make the game rich. It is very suitable for sharing with your friends to play together.
We’re honored to have not just attracted their attention but also their praise. It’s an incredible recognition of the hard work and devotion of the entire Zesh team.
We’re thrilled to have a vibrant and growing community as we build towards our token launch. To have achieved so much in such a short space of time is an indication of the incredible accomplishments that lay ahead.
